I'm not sure if this will help you at all, but once on a trip from Britsh Columbia to California, I suddenly lost boost from average 22-24psi to nothing more than 14psi.
SPG9 and I combed everything. Vacuum check was perfect, blew and sucked on the Bypass valve (diverter), nothing.
A pen flashilight reveiled that the diaphram in the BPV(diverter) was slightly slit, and could only be seen opening under a good amount of pressure.
Not sure this will help but it is a good example of the BPV failing only under extreme circumstances (above 14psi) and out of the range of 'normal' peramenters for checking a failed unit. To this day, I bet the BPV would work under stock boost;-)
if you have a Stage 3 and a Saab BPV diverter... if it hasn't gone yet, it will eventually. The heat weakens that valve quickly in modified engines.
