Just to reiterate what happened, I replaced my primary O2 sensor and fuel filter at the same time, and then had low- to no-boost. I tried everything: reset ECU, adaptation run, tested/cleaned BPC, purchased and swapped-in known-good BPC, checked all vacuum hoses, etc.. Nothing helped.
I installed an auxilliary vacuum/boost gauge (VDO) to monitor this problem, and could see that the boost would not go higher than 5 psi (which I think is base-boost, mid-yellow on the stock gauge). I also noticed that once a day (and it didn't matter when), the boost would hit 16 psi (where it's supposed to be with my Stage 3 ECU), stay there as long as I held the gas pedal down, and then never get there again afterwards. So I knew I had boost, but something was keeping it from me.
Then last week, my CEL came back on, and it was the same code as before which led me to replace the O2 sensor in the first place: P0130, which translates to a malfunctioning O2 sensor circuit. This all made me believe that I installed a bad O2 sensor even though it was brand-new.
I called the company and received a new replacement (quickly, I must say), and installed it this passed Friday. I decided to drive the car without resetting the ECU (which some people have said you're supposed to do when installing a new O2 sensor, which I find hard to believe since the Trionic system is constantly re-adaptating), to see if there was a difference. Well, I am getting more/better boost, but still not at the point I was attaining it before all of this started.
So now I'm at the point of waiting for a chance to reset the ECU and go out for an adaptation run just to start everything from the ground-up (I will have to wait on this since it's supposed to rain hard all week and my front tires are worn really low). Because of this, I really can't say if the issue is resolved since it seems I have boost again, but I don't know if it's true since it's stll fluctuating.
What is going on with your car?
