I have defended PBR Deluxe brake pads ad nauseum on this board when their effectiveness has been challenged. Specifically Andrew has suggested that the Deluxe are inferior and the Metalmasters, also by PBR, superior. I had problems with Metalmaster on the fronts of my Aero, and the problem went away when I installed Deluxe. On cold mornings the MM did not grab well the first couple of stops which was a real wake up. In fairness, I did state that my indy put them on, and he felt MM should be fine for Saab.

I put the MM with 3-4000 miles on my CSE last weekend. Guess I'm always willing to experiment, and had told Andrew that I would give them another shot. They seem to be working fine! Will see how it goes on really cold mornings, but for now there is no hesitation in grabbing. Perplexing. Still think the Deluxe is a very good pad, but so far the MM is doing fine too.

I bled the brakes and clutches for the first time using a Motive pressure bleeder. Very smooth. I've had my indy do this job in the past, and got a 200%+ return on my investment last weekend.

The Aero has TCS and a much larger resivoir than the CSE. Was not able to use a turkey baster to get all of the fluid out, so there may be 1-2% of old fluid around. It may be my imagination, but the brakes seem to feel better on both cars. I know I do....
