Although I was looking into the CPS because my tach did not bounce while cranking it ended up being the DI Cassette. Before I had time to diagnose the CPS I swapped in a known good DI and the car fired right up. Other than finding the location of the connector I don't have any specific suggestions for testing the CPS. On my 94 the connector is near the backside of the alternator.
