A-Arm bushing HELP!!!

My 9000 developed a crack in the front, lower A-arm bushing. There
is some disagreement about replacement of this part on the behalf of
eeuroparts, my saab dealer, and the shop it's at now.
It looks as if the original bushing is in a metal casing
(on the car).. however, the photo of part #7 on eeuroparts shows
no metal casing. The dealer says that the part needs to be pressed
into place-- eeuro says it can be fit using some grease and a hammer.
Since time was of the essence, and the shop it's at doesn't have a
press, I ordered a replacement control arm, the front bushing, cap, and
rear bushing.
What is the correct way to install the bushing(s)? Is the casing a
required part (is it a spacer)? What else do I need to know?
Many thanks!
Rich
