I have a RF wheel that has some nuts heavily so tight it will ake heat to remove them AND they were liberally coated with anit-seize. The mech who put them on last says the air wrench he uses for wheels is not a high torque wrench. Well, maybe he mixed his wrenches. Go figure.
Anyway, I have always used WD40 and have never had a problem with any lug bolts I've torqued (but I confess to not using torque wrench.) But my wheels are straight and I've never had a lug nut or bolt comes loose, either. I also spray the mounting surface of the wheel with WD, sometimes the hub too, to avoid corrosion bonding the two together.
