With the car off, if you connect pin 87 of the ABS pump relay (engine compartment, ABS relay and fuse board) to +12 volts, the ABS pump should run. However, if it doesn't run that doesn't mean that the pump is dead. Not a good sign, but there's still hope. I assume that the 12 volt source is pretty 'stiff' - basically, the battery. That pump takes a lot of current, and you don't want much resistance between it and the battery.

There's no need to connect pins 30 AND 87 to +12 - only 87 is needed. Pin 30 should be connected to the battery (12 volts) through the main distribution block link and the ABS pump fuse. The relay contacts connect 30 to 87.

If you connect 12 volts to the pump and it runs, then it's something else. But one thing at a time.

To answer the question, pin 87 runs directly to the pump. The pressure switches control the relay.

12 volts to the relay contact is less than half the story. Is the ground for the ABS pump OK? Make sure the grounding is OK - the ground point is on the left-hand wheel housing - follow the black wire from the ABS pump to the ground point. Remove the nut on the ground point, and clean up all surfaces with some find sandpaper or Scotchbrite. Make sure the wire looks OK. See if that fixes the problem. Make sure the wire from Pin 87 on the relay makes it electrically to the pump - same with the ground wire.

The pump takes quite a bit of current to run, and even more to get started. A poor electrical connection will limit the current and the pump won't start.

If, and when, you KNOW that power has a nice, clean path to the motor, and an equally good path to ground, and the pump still doesn't run, then it's time to think new pump. But before I wrote the pump off completely, there is always Percussive Maintenance. If you're sure the pump is the culprit, giving it a few stiff whacks won't hurt. (Hence, percussion). However, leave that as a last step, no matter how attractive a first step it is.
