and to reiterate what Ian had already stated, most items I have purchased from eEuroparts have been on-par. It's the bushings that I find to be of extremely poor quality.
I purchased (actually, won an eBay auction) for one upper motor mount insert from another company. This mount (rubber bushing within aluminum sleeve) was EXACTLY like the oem Saab bushing I removed--in fact, some of the numbers imprinted into the rubber itself matched. This bushing was made by ScanTech.
I now needed one more bushing, so I purchased one from eEuroparts. This bushing had no numbers imprinted on it anywhere, as well as no manufacturer name, and was contained within a metal sleeve (not aluminum). The rubber smelled like a really old tire, and it actually felt kind of mushy. Well, I assumed it was okay since I have trusted eEuroparts in the past. Anyway, immediately on the first drive out with all bushings installed (including the 2 lowers and the tranny mount), the engine rocked like crazy! I looked at the eEuroparts bushing which I mounted into the rear (dogbone) mount, and it looked like it was melting! It was slimy on top, and really smelled like old, burning rubber. I now had to cut some heater hose and insert it into the openings to tighten it up. So far, so good, but this is not correct for something that is brand new! I just did not feel like ripping it out and installing another one (to the tune of $20 per press-out/press-in at the machine shop).
My brother who has a '91 900S also experienced a similar problem with his rubber exhaust hangers. He bought a complete exhaust system from eEuroparts, including the rubber hangers, and within 6 months, the two holding the long intermediate pipe had ripped completely through, causing the system to sag, as well as the one in the rear was completely dry-rotted and almost ready to rip as well. Again, this should not be with brand new parts. And this was during the summer without any roadsalt eating away at them.
I have no complaints against eEuroparts, but Todd, if you are reading this, drop your supplier of rubber goods and find one that has good quality products!
Joe
