It doesn't have to be absolutely same!?
Only important thing is what ETS computer(controller) sees. It actualy mesures signal 0 to 5 v from the TP sensor. Calibration is nessesary becuse different TB have different TP sensors.
For a quick fix one can spray contact cleaner inside the sensor and see what happens.
I have actually errased error codes menually, since couple years ago there was no ISAT or TECH II in my country. My car was in limp home for 3 months. Today everything works, and I have only replaced dump valve (which actually burned out). If someone is interested I can send him about 200 pages of assember code and 32k of raw ROM code/data. ETS stores error and calibration data in 128 byte serial EEPROM. Now I have 2 spare EEPROMs that can be plugged-in in a matter of minutes.
One day I will have a web-page dedicated to all troubles and fixes. I could write a book about it.
Anything that can be taken apart can be fixed. That is my philosophy. It is only a question of time, money and need. If I had $4000 to spare I would have replaced all TCS/ABS parts, but I didn't, so I fixed everything for about $50.
