They are made of a hard white ( and very brittle ) plastic, capping the metal screws which pass thru more of this very brittle plastic. On my '91 3 out of 4 disintigrated even with spray lube. I actually had to goldberg new wedges of material out of hard rubber and thread the srews through the wedges, (with again goldberged end caps from hardware store) to make mine work. Dont bother trying to just buy the adjuster assembly - not possible. And I figuered most anything from the scrapyard would have the same dry rot age symptoms anyway. Search for my original posting its a bit more detailed I think. Bottom line is that it worked and its a whole lot cheaper than buying new headlight buckets , I think they were around 130.00 each!
