If this is the only Saab that you have owned then your statement bashing them really doesn't have any merit. I wouldn't buy an American car because they are nearly impossible to work on, horrible seats (pet peeve) and they all look the same.
I will agree that Saabs have alot more glitches that need attention then American car, but with this boards help and alittle time they are fixable.
IMHO Saabs need to be renewed every 120-150K miles. Once that is done you can expect the car to go another 120-150k miles.
Saabs are a DIY dream. Cars are plentiful/cheap, great source of repair info here and mail order parts to your door.
Want to sell your Saab? :-)
