Again, if I’m giving you a bad steer then sorry.
But if what I say is true, then I guess I can see how it might be a bit annoying, though I always found it rather endearing, just the way these cars sound I think. Maybe it’s a design deficiency, I don't know what would help, maybe a less restricting air box? I doubt it though; the after market seems to exaggerate/create the sound in other cars, hmmmm. Maybe you should listen to another 9000 if you get the chance, to see if we’re talking about the same noise, its especially noticeable when parallel parking (all that revving w/ no wind noise), stop and listen if you happen to be walking down the street and see some poor jerk trying to horse his 9000 into a spot.
I hope you come to appreciate the melodic sounds of naturally aspirated 9000 performance.
