I've been in my '97 Aero for almost two years. Mine pulls very hard in second gear, as it does in 3,4,5 too. ther eis no turbo cut off, but there is a fuel cutoff at the rev limiter and there is also an overboost cutout.... The ooverboost cutout has happened to me several times, but then I've seen my gage go well into the red several times.. I've found that by the time I'm at 4500 rpm in second I'm really ready for third gear, although pushing to close to red line means hitting third at higher rpms and therefore more oomph... to me the strongest "feel" is that second gear pull.
