Head gasket or cracked head.

Ahhh, posting about my head gasket again. I replaced it about a year ago (~5k miles), but still had a slow leak. It was about 300-400 miles between having to put a liter of coolant in. Then it started needing it sooner. Now I get 30-100 miles per refill. At least the coolant warning light works. The Bar's Leak pellets seem to keep it from being worse.
Basically, I'm wondering if I can tell if its the head gasket, or a cracked head before I pull it all apart. That way I can have a replacement head ready. Also, where's a good place to get a head from, and prices? Obviously, it won't do me any good to replace the head gasket again if I have a cracked head. So I'd like to figure out what is wrong before digging in.
The reasons I suspect a cracked head are... it leaked even after I did the head gasket. I'm confident I did a good job on the head, but I didn't ask the machinist to magnaflux it. It seems worse when the engine is cold.
I have done a basic compression test, and nothing is weird. No coolant in the oil, and not oil in the coolant. I also felt the turbo for play, and it seemed solid.
A couple observations, people don't tail gate when you're blowing giant clouds of smoke out your tail pipe. And Walmart has good prices on radiator fluid and distilled water.
