The check plug on the left side of the housing, accessible through the left wheelwell. As I recall, it's an ~8mm allen head. The drain plug is there too, but lower. The fill plug is on top. The most cost effective manual is the Haynes. The Saab manual is in many volumes, as listed on the eEuroparts website. Good Luck.
