up with a magic move for you.
Wow. The door needs to be open to get the latch off and lube/clean it up which is what it sounds it needs along with some mechanical inspection.
Hot air from hair dryer on and around the latch/door handle might warm it up to possibly let it open?? Crossed fingers, tongue in cheek, hold breath....
