Well as I said before, there really isnt any room in the back...the spacers are necessary. The front is a different story....there is more room there, but I'd be worried about rubbing during hard cornering (probably slight rubbing).
The spacers are 8mm hubcentric spacers. So essentially you take the spacer pop it into the centerbore of the rim. When you use the spacer, you don't need to use the plastic hubcentric rings. The spacer is held to the rim by a snap ring/circular spring (kind of like the one that holds the center caps on saab oem wheels). I had no problems at all getting them to stay on the wheel, they fit nice and snugly. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
