Hey,
My brother had a '91 9000 and had a fuel leak in the trunk... There was acces to the tank through the trunk, and a line had worked its way loose. He was able to re-fasten it without any explosions ;o).

Check under the trunk carpet, between the seat and the spare tire. I'd check on my car to more closely describe what I'm talking about (since I'm not clear on what my brother's experience was) but I'm not driving my car today.
