One tang shows wear(about.010 in)and others do not. Mating surface of pump gear also shows similar wear, others do not. Inside surfaces of pump cover and timing cover show very minor scratches. I don't think they are bad enough to be losing pressure. Tear down was for timing/balance chains/sprockets. Pump was not leaking and oil pressure was good but I opened the pump to check for garbage because both crank sprockets were trashed. If I reuse the old pump and drive, should I install worn against worn or worn against unworn surface. I don't believe a pump kit comes with the drive and it is not shown on eEuroparts online inventory separately. Also, out of curiosity, why would the pump gear have one small and two larger drive tangs while the drive itself appears to have all three slots the same size. It would appear that, at most, two tangs would be engaged at any time regardless of how installed. Your experience and input appreciated.
