Simple test to check is there anybody home or not in DI Cassette:
Unscrew the DI Cassette and position it on top of engine (it shoud not be sideways, but don't know how to really put it standing...)
Put spark plugs in
Connect spark plugs into a GOOD GROUND (Saab uses a special wire for this (with 4 alligator clamps for spark plugs and one for ground).
Crank the engine. Sparks should appear atleast while crancking and after unsuccessful start ("cleaning the sparks")
Important!!! if you fail to connect all the sparks to ground, after the test you have fried DI cassette !!!
Also the DI cassette is more complex than you think: best way to really check it is to replace it with a known good one.
Note also that if all the sparks are missing the fault can be elsewhere (CPS, blown fuse etc.).
