The paperwork showing the specs, and actual report from the alignment were out in the garage. When I posted the request, I was too lazy to go get it. Sorry.

The specs for the rear camber range from negative 0.3 degrees to negative 0.8 degrees.

The left rear wheel was/is at negative 0.1 degrees, and the right rear was/is at negative 0.8 degrees, so as you can see, the left is out only a little and the right is within specs, but at the limit. I am just wondering if there is any way to bring it back into specs, or if it's even necessary with such a small discrepancy.

Since both wheels are only out a little and both on the negative side, I don't think the axle has been damaged by someone jacking the car improperly. If that had been done, it seems to me that the camber would have gone into positive numbers. ie. tilting the wheels out. Besides the first owner (30k mi) only took the car to a Saab dealer, and while I've owned the car, I haven't let anyone raise the rear end using the axle. Although I did have to stop two cretins from trying to place the jacks there.

As for the front end of the car, the left front camber was negative 1.5 degrees, with specs requiring a range of negative 0.2 degrees to negative 1.2 degrees. Saab makes no provision for adjusting the camber, but there are after market eccentric strut bolts (which the alignment tech got at NAPA) to bring the camber back into spec. After installing the strut bolt, the left camber is now negative 0.5 degrees, which is right in the middle of the factory range, and exactly the same as the right side.

I am very happy with the results of the job being done on the Walker machine. The car tracks wonderfully, and the steering wheel is dead center when going straight.Plus they only charged me $75 for the alignment, $23 for the eccentric strut bolt, and $10/tire for mounting and balancing (tires from TireRack) using the Walker balancing machine. There was a write-up about the Walker equipment in a resent "Nines" magazine. The machine measures the wheels and location of the spokes so the stick on weights can be hidden behind the spokes. There is also a road force measurment that tells the tech where to mount the tire on the rim and which position on the car is best.
