GM involved or not. I've had everything from a '80 GLE to the '04 9-5 Aero we just ordered for a total of 10 over 16 years. My wife currently has an '01 9-5 and I a '94 9000 Aero. I wouldn't trade the 9000 for anything, but it is a bit of a money pit (some surgery elective and others not). Since my 9000 is currently in mod phase, I'm going to replace it with a daily driver 9-5 (my to and from work car).
I wouldn't want to have my wife relying on the 9000 every day. I feel better having her drive a newer vehicle. She loves her 9-5. We're trading it on the 9-5 Aero for me! :) I want more go power when I'm drivin.
BTW... The 9-3SS is a GREAT little car. Super agile and just a blast to drive. We need to get off this GM thing. Saab is still making very nice cars, and they accelerate and handle better than the previous ones. You can't hang onto the past forever.
