Very unlikely it's the ECU.

Presently i am also having the same experience,but the problem is in a 1992 Griffin ,but i have another 1992 5 door Turbo.Swapping parts between cars have not helped.The problem is in the car not compoents i have swaped out.

My problem is when the tach bounces the car will pull in the fuel injection pump relay,and it runs.But something will heat up and then stalls the engine,opening the fuel pump relay. It will not restart(no tach bounce) until it's dame good and ready.And i have not been able to find it so far,it's some thing that is needed in the logic sequence to pull in the fuel pump relay and start the DI/APC spark.

There is no spark or fuel and it's not in the cpu's-swapped them all between the cars.Then when the car is cooled enough it starts and runs until something heats up and stalls the engine.I have all the factory manuals but none contain a ladder diagram of the logic progression needed to start the spark and pull in the fuel pump relay?????

I will go thur the manuals and see if i can help with your 1995,the problem sounds very simular.
