I just took the fender liner, etc. off and pulled on the tensioner, installed my trusty homemade tool to hold the tensioner slack and reinstalled the belt. Started the car an everything looks good. I'll let you guys know if it happens again. I plan to carry a spare belt and the necessay tools to change it on the road. I'm now thinking that when I replaced the noisey a/c pulley bearing that the pulley got very slighlty bent since it appears to have a very little "kick" to it. What do you guys think about this being the problem? BTW tensioner seems to have plenty of tension, and no visible leaks.
