Used a cherry picker(engine lift), hooked up to both "eyes" in the block, raised it up, VERY SLOWLY and looking for interference, until the throttle cable was just about to touch the relay box. The lower rear one came right out and the new one went right in no problem. The lower front needed a little help by using a breaker bar between the subframe and oil pan just to get it that extra 1/2 inch on the passange side and the new went right with a little tap from a rubber mallet. Put the wheel well liner back in and done. My brother does have a lift in his garage, but we never had the car more the a couplf feet of the ground in order to clear the engine lift which means this could easliy been done with jackstands. If anyone is in Chicago area and wants this done, he said he would charge $200 for both lowers and the upper dogbone - you supply the parts. I had quotes of $600 (including parts) for this job from independents and almost $1000 from the dealer!! I do not want top break any forum rules about advertising, I am just offereing a job that is notorios for being a PITA to fellow members for much cheap now that he has done it once. He does not own a shop or anything, he just does side jobs while going to school and bought a lift for his garage to help. He used to be a Mitsibishi mechanic. dagmando at yahoo.com
