Clean fast trains, where did you get that fanciful notion? If you compare the train timetables today with the train timetables of say 1950, you'll find that journeys these days take far longer. Gone are the days of Liverpool to london in an hour and a half, I often use the train when going to London and I haven't managed to do Liverpool to London in less than 2 and a half hours. Bring back the steam trains and get rid of these derv burners, use propane instead of coal and you become much more environmentally friendly ;-)

I'm not prepared to get into a salary debate, but I used to share an apartment with a guy from indianapolis, he went back to work for the US arm of our company doing the same job as I do here. He earns approximately double the amount I do, the only downfall I can see for him is that he only gets 10 days a year holiday not 25, but we get the same med insurance, gym membership and life insurance benefits.

Anyway I'm heading way off topic here so I'll shut up now
