Yes, it fits well on my '95 Aero. Be careful to follow instructions on cutting the carpet in rear, as it's easy to misinterpret and cut it wrong. I did this on the '91 where it was initially installed, but was more careful on the '95.
If you buy used you will likely need to buy new "cage nuts." These are proprietary and aren't designed to be removed once installed, fitting inside an existing set of square holes in the floor. I couldn't find an exact copy of these cage nuts when I reinstalled this kit in '99, but found a close match in the Saab parts book in the door assembly. Although the overall size is the same, the screw-thread diameter is smaller and you'll need to find smaller screws to fit them, but they worked fine here. I retrofitted the armrest from my '91 9KT and was able to salvage only one or two of these cage nuts, but you may be able to do better.
As for whether it's worth the money or not, I wouldn't pay $300 again for this armrest, although it does provide a useful position for your arm on long trips. I rarely use mine and find it awkward shifting (manual tranny) when the armrest is down. When up there is no obstruction except that the console lid won't fold back as before. If you use the lid for a cup holder, which was always a useless proposition to me, you can forget it. In fact, it won't even stay up on its own with the armrest folded up. It won't open at all with the armrest folded down, of course. Also, it fits well, but rubs a bit against the right seat when folded. I don't think this would be a problem in the long run.
If you can find a used one for $100 it might be worth considering, IMHO. Again, to me it isn't worth the $300 (or whatever) that Saab wants for a new one, but you may have a higher assessment of its worth. The covers can be ordered separately from Saab if you buy a used armrest and the existing cover doesn't match.
