1992 cruise control diagnosis questions

Howdy all,

After fixing my own cruise control system on my 1990 9000 turbo, I'm feeling SASSY, so i started to diagnose my friends 1992 9000 turbo cruise problem...

I was lucky enough to have great resuorces like quasimotors site, and townsends site for diagrams and specific info on my cruise system, which is vacuum pump controlled... HOWEVER, they do not cover the system in a 1992 with the dreaded TRACTION CONTROL....

The cruise stalk is the same, and i tested all of the pins on it to make sure it's something else in the system, but i'm not exactly sure how the system in a 92 works. Is it completely electronic? no vacuum operated parts at all?

More importantly, his SRS AND TCS lights are on, maybe sometimes ABS!

(i told him not to buy it, but he didn't listen! ;)

anyways, if the TCS system isn't working correctly, will that disable the cruise control? or are they independent of each other?

The TSC light is on, however, car runs normal, has awesome power... so it could just be a sensor? Should we diagnose the TCS problem before the cruise problem? He drives from NY to oregon and the carolinas often, and it'd be a great help to him if i could fix it! Any information is appretiated THANKS IN ADVANCE!
