steve...

My original engine was ruined from water being sucked through the intake, and essentially blowing out the head gasket.

Every component in the engine that had water travel through it, or MIGHT have had water pass through it has been replaced... EXCEPT for the intercooler!

It hasn't even been flushed or pressure checked yet...

The rubber intake boot attached to the turbo had cracked... which wasn't that way before the engine damage... also one of the intercooler rubber boots was damaged too... both being replaced

I wasnt going fast when the water got sucked into the engine, definately not BOOSTING water into my engine... in fact i was hardly moving at all... it was a HUGE rainstorm in orlando in april last year... just a real flooded mess in my apartment complex... I knew i was screwed as soon as i pulled in there and saw the water around me... it was raining so hard though the wipers were useless... traffic was literally bumper to bumper on the main 6 lane highway moving 15 mph because it was so bad... and everywhere got flooded. It was only a matter of minutes before my shooty k+n open air filter was getting splashed and eventually submerged... but oh well... that sucked and it was a mistake to attempt to negotiate my flooded complex, but it's over now... new engine and i'm happy...

anyways...

water damaged intercooler? I've posted about the possibility before, got mixed thoughts on it.

I've got a "new" (used) one that's good and i'll be cleaning/flushing it and totally replacing the old one...

I've also got a brand new never before been used T25 turbo... although the turbo that's on there now isn't the one that had water go through it.

When that stuff is put on i'll see what's up with the readings...but now i've got an idea that there IS a leak somewhere...

thanks
-gavin
