...but there is another gavin on this board... i'm not sure what his last name is... but to save us gavin's the confusion of knowing which gavin you are referring to, just call ME gavin! :) You'll have to come up with some other name for him, but i claimed plain old "gavin" first...

uh anyways...

...The cams I have are rediculous! I don't really know exactly what dave did to them, but i'm sure he went nuts! The car idles fine... it used to idle like crap, but this was of course caused by the FPR not being connected to vacuum, and the AIC unit was frozen solid on the inside. Right now it sort of hops up and down like 1/8 inch above "1" on the tach and 1/8 inch below... so like over under over under... not very fast, it's not annoying or anything I just wonder why it still does it.

I guess the vacuum only reading 10HG is a direct result of the cames being different... but everything works fine i guess... I'm wondering though...

...if the FPR is looking for around 20hg in vac, and i'm getting 10, is it stil running rich at idle???

The smootheness of acceleration is just astonishing now that everything is working correctly...

In second gear, from 2 ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way up to 6 on the tach everything just pulls pulls pulls... until the fuel cutout starts jittering the engine. I try not to hit redline, but literally it's hard NOT to!!! It goes up to the high rpms sooo easy! Especially with te aluminum flywheel and such. It all feels totally natural for the engine, not stressed out in the least bit. Of course, everything is new anyways... so i'm sure that helps!

give him a call and have him make you a set ... it's well under $500 with shipping included!
