Stephen, I am confused by your calling the '92 2.0 a low pressure turbo. These engines were never lpt as far as I know and the '92's were 2.3's. If you have a 2.0 engine in your '92 then an easier way to go would be to swap the heads, if your '93 is an early one with the long block, and add any hardware you need to increase the available pressure from your turbo.

I could be wrong here, but I'm sure all the 2.0 engines had APC control for the turbo and thus are full pressure turbos.

If, though you want to go the route of an engine swap you should be able to do so w/o many hassles. The Trionic will probable want to see the TCS as you said, but has been put on non-trionic cars before. Hopefully someone else will chime in here to give more input.
