starting issues Posted by adam [Email] ![]() ![]() |
My car only starts intermediately. It's not the starter if I jump the battery right to the starter it works fine.
It's somewhere in the circuit because turning the key and jumping from under the hood at the 7 o'clock position circle next the the false bulkhead to the battery does the same thing, nothing. I hear a relay click and that's it. This is not the hot soak issue it does this cold and I've already bypassed the selonoid with a relay.
My other thought is it's related to the alarm system activating and disabling the starter pathway but I can't explain how or why.
Any ideas where to start, it's likely a loose wire somewhere. The odd thing is that up till today disconnecting and reconnecting the battery would fix it. Any way to disconnect or shut off the alarm completely.
