I'll pull that stupid bulb. My pictogram hasn't worked for years. It shows a bulb out when I am doing anything relating to the lights - brakes on, reverse light on, headlights on, turn signal on, etc! It was annoying at first, now my mind more or less blanks it out.

I have heard that one remedy is to pull all the bulbs out of both clusters (and in my case, presumably headlights too), clean all the sockets as best you can, and also clean all the bulbs and other wire connections. Then, replace all the bulbs with new (or at least perhaps measure the existing ones to see if they match). Supposedly this works to fix the problem, at least for a while, but is too much work for me.

I believe Saab themselves actually issued some sort of kit that could be installed to decrease the sensitivity of the pictogram circuit, but that is also too much work in my mind. :) I will just yank the bulb next time I have the dash top off, and check operation of the lights manually.
