I gave my son my 94 CSE a couple of years ago. He uses it on a long commute to work and it now has about 190,000 miles on it. The only major thing that required replacement was the fuel pump. My son is a pilot and aircraft mechanic and routinely replaces the fuel pumps in any fuel injected family vehicle when it reach 150,000 miles. Somewhere around 150 thousand miles the brushes in the voltage regulator will give up the ghost. The voltage regulator plugs into the end of the alternator and is easily replaced although most shops will want to replace the whole alternater. The direct ignition cassette on Saabs can go at any time usally when you are in the worst possible place. Both my son and I carry spare DIs in the trucks of our cars. If the car has a clutch there was a problem in some of the late model 9000s where the fluid eventully eats through the rubber part of the hose. I am not sure if this applies to the 93s. Check the radiator hoses and the heater core. Chances are the heater core has been replaced long before 150,000 miles and if it has not it has proven itself and will outlast the car. The serpentine belt and idler pulleys last 60,000 miles or so. Replace the pulleys when they get the least bit noisy. The engine mounts might be worn but that is easily determined. The rear bushings on the control arms in the front suspension should be replaced every 90,000 miles or so. They are inexpensive, easy to replace, and they will give the car that new solid feel. If the oil has been changed regularly the engine and turbo should be good for well over 200,000 miles.
