Shocks typically are not a problem on the 9K, so don't worry about those. It's always advisable to build in $1-2K for miscellaneous repairs. I have a '95 9K and its been awesome! But the most important thing to do would be to have the car checked out by a competant mechanic that is very familiar with Saabs, or even a dealer. Good luck and let us know your decision!
