But I think the actual weight is more like 150 pounds. AT technical maunal says 65.5 kg without fluid and with torque converter. Converted to pounds, that's about 130, so 150 lbs. is probably accurate--you can't get ALL the fluid out of there!

Eriksson's shipped the transmission to me using A Duie Pyle, and I went and picked it up from a local depot, rather than trying to time a shipment directly to my house. I'm not sure if they are a national chain or not--this was CT to PA.

The crate that Eriksson used was actually a 2-piece plastic thing held together by metal pins (like cotter pins). Maybe a local transmission shop would have leftover packaging materials from one they got in. Or at the very least, they could point you in a direction.
