I posted a message regarding this a week ago, but I couldn't get clear idea of which way to go, so I want to try again :)
Here's the situation: I just bought 1995 5spd 9000 Aero with 130k on it.
The car looks like it's been owned by someone who loved it and took very good care of it. However, I do not have any service records, and have no idea which oil has been used.
So, which is the safe and proper way to go? I know most Aero owners use syntetics, but I heard that if that wasn't the case, putting synt. oil for the first time at 130k can really screw things up or wouldn't do any good anyway. What would you do in this situation?
p.s. My indie (Roland from Brooklyn) recommended using regular non-syntetic mobil 10-30w and change it every 3k.
Thank you,
D.
