That just happens to come out at a spot that makes you THINK it's the slave cylinder?

I'm thinking maybe the hose connection to the slave--hard line, bleeder nipple, etc. has a crack in it or something ... line heats up when you drive it, the metal expands, and seals up, but overnight when cold, fluid leaks out?

Just thinking out loud.

Can't really help with the transmission whine--eBay can be a source for a used transmission (cheap but risky), as can some site sponsors (a la Goldwing, etc. which are expensive but much more "safe").
