Have you tried popping the ACC unit out of the dash, removing the LARGE connector from the rear of the unit and cleaning the contacts on both plug and unit? Correct re-seating also helps. While you are in there, try popping the sensor out, stripping it (it DOES come apart) and cleaning it properly. It's amazing how much crud accumulates and cleaning it all off is a delicate job.
