I usually see the high speed fan come on at around 12 am ;o).

Jokes aside. I tested several 9000 awhile back to learn the values.

The low speed fan comes on around 105 degree Celsius, reading from the Tech 2 scanner which gets its temp signal from the sensor in cylinder head. The temp needle is approx at 3/4 of the gauge.

If you remove and leave the low speed fan relay out, the high speed fan relay will eventually trigger and start the high speed cycle. That happens around 120 degree Celsius. The temp needle is approx hugging the red line.

Be aware of that the high speed 30Amp fuse might burn when the high speed cycle kicks in. The reason for that is that the system is not built for starting the fan up from zero to high speed in one sweep.

The normal cycle is that the low speed comes on and if that is not enough it starts the high speed, but at that time the fan is already rotating in low speed and the current draw is not that high.

Very rarely do the high speed need to come on if everything else is fine with your cooling system.
