Suppose the car was on a local lot or being sold privately. You passed on it. Now you happen to meet the buyer of the car at a party, who tells you of the car they are buying. Would you tell them? And what would you say?
You have to be careful of libel/slander issues on this, especially since you are not a certified Saab tech and have not positivley determined that there is a valve problem. All you can do, IMHO, is to encourage the buyer to have the car checked by a qualified, independent technician, and to be sure to check for a bad valve.
But all that said, buying a used car, especially on eBay, is a risk and caveat emptor is the order of the day. You really don't have a responsibility here, even though your heart and conscience is in the right place.
That's my .02.
