I know there are many central locking problems discussed in this forum but I have yet to find a description of a problem that is quite like mine. Lately, during about one out of four attempts to unlock my 98 CSE with the keyless remote the horn burps, the parking lights flash three times, but the locks don’t unlock and are silent. After opening the driver’s door with the key one can then unlock the other doors with the console switch but only after hitting lock then unlock. Once it works its good until the car sits for 30 min or more then your back to the one out of four chance that it will happen again.

I would suspect a mechanical problem but the locks are silent when this happens and all of the locks are affected. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Better yet, do you have a suggestion for the cure?
