I had trouble with the tail lights on my 95 CS - intermittent lightups on the pictogram.
I'm pretty certain the problems root cause is that one (or is it two?) bayonet-mount bulbs with 2 filaments got put in 180 out of alignment. The little alignment nubs on either side of the bulb are at different heights. If you put it in backwards, not only does the pictogram light up (because the resistances aren't right) but the socket can break the tabs off the platic mount and start to 'float', and occasionally you might lose wire contact with the socket.
I tried glueing the 'floating' socket but ended up tying them down by drilling small holes in the black plastic back and using fine insulated wire like a twist tie. Ugly, but it works.
