I just got back home, still wearing a grin.
First I bought a standard amp wiring kit. I had to run a power cord + and a remote + to the woofer built in amp. I ran the power cord (12 ga. wire)from the batt through the grommet sharing the protection for the brake line which goes to the brake pedal. There is a panel locate under the left side of the dash which has to be removed, the 4 plastic clips that keep this in place are a nuisance, I broke everyone of them, it is now temporarily installed wire small tie straps (maybe permanent). Then it was quite easy to run the wire along the drivers side under the panels (removed a few torx head screws)and I followed the fat factory harness which goes to all kinds of stuff in the back. I then punch a small hole in carpet along the left side and ran the wire to the trunk.
I then loosened the left side carpeted trunk liner by removing 2 weired nuts and pulling the liner towards the middle of the trunk. This exposes the remote wire to the power antenna coming from the radio and I tapped the amps remote wire to it, then ran it through the same hole with the hot lead and the speaker wire from the left rear into the trunk cavity.
I then spliced into the rear speaker wires. I also loosened the right side trunk liner to tap into right speaker.
All in all it turned out to be much easier than expected and it is definately worth it.
Testament to sturdiness of a 9000, with the system crank up there are no rattles are any of the negative things you associate with big bass in a trunk.
Just do it.
