Hey sabbers;
Tell me what you think about this post/thread that I came across while reading up on fuel injector cleaning.It seems like a good easy way to clean the injectors without taking the fuel rail out. I put some TECHRON in my tank last monday,but that can only do so much. Also do You think the process below would do damage to my FPR diaphram? I do have an old FPR that I could put back in for this cleaning process.
I built an inector cleaner like the ones they use ...

at the service stations. I use my A/C flush gun (you could use any cannister that you can fill with injector cleaner, and put compressed air into), I use an assortment of fittings so that I can run from my gun to the bottom of my fuel pressure regulator. I first pull the fuel pump fuse, run the engine dry. Then hook up to pressure regulator and put a couple of bottles of injector cleaner in, and pump it up to 50-75 psi and start the engine. I don't have a compressor, or a garage for that matter, so I use a compressor that runs off the ciggarette lighter. When I get a compressor (and a garage) I will just regulate the air at 60 psi and let the car run for an hour or so. Meanwhile, change the fuel filter with a good oem quility filter. This should clean your injectors and your intake valves. Higher mileage cars should either use this method or have them removed and cleaned. I prefer this because it gets the intake valves as well. Putting cleaner in your tank does not work well on high mileage cars even if you are putting good Amoco, Phillips, Mobil or whatever in your tank. I bought my flush gun at ACsource.com. I use the gun for AC conversions. It is a versatile little tool. Could also use it as a spray gun. I also recommend putting a guage on so you can easily read the pressure.
