I'll look first for the cable end at the rear, if I can find it, I'll plug it in and cross my fingers. If there isn't any cable there, I'll go with the glove box mount rather than the rear, and use the new cable.
I saw you mentioned your changer is connected via RF rather than a direct connection, so your setup doesn't use a direct cable?

What's the easiest way to get to the rear of the in-dash CD unit, which is where I'm expecting to plug in the changer data cable? Remove the CD unit and pull out the housing, or maybe through the glove box area and access it from the rear?
