just go to the stealer. YOu will probably have to pay $2 each for them, but you have already spent that plus some in time looking at various hardware stores. The Stealer can tell you the spec.
If you really want to be dealer defiant, the lenght isn't really as important as the thread pitch and diameter. THe holding power is in the head torque, not the lenght. The part has no pressure on it so it doesn't need much holding power. In fact I drove around for two years with two of my screws missing and never noticed. The mechanic that took my head off appearently didn't put them back or put them back loose. Most hardware stores should carry an assortment of metric screws.
