Thank you very much I appreciate the help. I've been reading posts for the past few days, and with average DIY mechanical experence I have I think I've narrowed it down to being the feul pump. Or maybe the feul filter is just clogged. Baisically what happens is the car will turn over and start, with a tach reading, rev up like a normal start and then sputter and die just as if I was running out of gas in matter of seconds. It still does this when I floor the gas pedal as well, it's like it doesn't recongnize that I'm pressing the gas pedal. I changed the feul pump relay yesterday, and the only difference is that it kind of recongnizes that i'm pressing the gas now, but fires like it isn't timed corectly, and if I don't press the gas it'll just sputter and die in matter of seconds.
So do you guys think I'm making the right decision to go ahead and try the fuel pump? Or should I just change the filter? I assume I could try to change the filter first I'm guessing it's probably and easier job, and see if that changes things. I know the fuel pump runs because I've done the jumper thing with the fuses, I was just thinking that it may not be pumping enough gas.
Any input is appreciated, thank you.
