Hi Mike,
No, unfortunately for me but fortunately for you, my problem is a bit more unusual than yours. If your dash light stays on yet your cruise-control disengages randomly, the culprit is most likely one of the pedal switches. It's too close to the pedal, so it activates with slightest pedal vibration, or pedal shifting due to temperature changes etc. I had this problem not long ago with the switch on the clutch. I bent the metal bracket holding the switch, and the problem was solved!
Apparently I didn't need to bend the metal bracket. I was told that I could just yank on the switch assembly itself to move the location of the plunger part. But I felt like I was breaking the poor little thing, so I opted instead to bend the bracket. Worked like a charm.
My problem I think is a flakey connector somewhere. If I just knew where to look, I'd re-seat connectors and see how it goes.
Thanks,
Carl.
