CV Joint/Tripod bearing question (long)

93 9000T w/ 140,000 miles. I recently replaced my right outer CV boot, per Quasi's advice. During the procedure, I had a hard time getting the joint apart once the snap ring was open. After a bit of "convincing" will a heavy rubber hammer, it came off. Although the inner boot remained clamped and intact, I was pulling the axle outwards while working on it. In any event, once everything is back together, I am know noticing clunking on deceleration, clicking and sqwaking during right handed turns. However, the noises all appear to be coming from the left side of the car. Do I have an unrelated left axle/cv joint/tripod bearing problem, or did I possible let the right tripod bearing lose its' needle bearings when replacing the right boot? In otherwords, even with the inner boot clamped, can the tripod bearing come out far enough to fall apart?
